How The Sandbox is onboarding +1000 users per day with the Venly Wallet solution.‍

About The Sandbox:‍

The Sandbox is a virtual world where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences on the Ethereum and Polygon blockchain using SAND, the platform’s utility token. SAND is an essential part of The Sandbox platform and is an ERC-20 utility token built on the Ethereum blockchain that serves as the basis for transactions within The Sandbox.

Associated Challenges and Risks:

1. Adoption and Scalability

One of the main challenges in the project was the rate of adoption and scalability of the community of artists and creators to start exchanging assets, which is a key point behind the demand generation of SAND. 

2. Onboarding Non-Crypto Users

Another challenge was the need to bring non-crypto users to the blockchain world. In order to achieve this the system should be transparent to the user as much as possible without the need to own or know what ETH is or for that matter any of the tokens that will be used.

3. Mobile Segment Penetration 

Apart from this another challenge was to penetrate the mobile segment, which is one of The Sandbox’s target platforms, and is projected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.3% over the coming years, owing to increasing smartphone penetration across the globe. 

Venly Wallet technology

Out of the many tech solutions provided by Venly such as the Widget and Wallet API solution, The Sandbox chose for the Venly Widget solution to onboard more than 1,000 new users per day via Venly Wallets.

The Venly Widget provides the "Social Login" feature, responsible for more than half of the total onboardings. This allows the players to interact in The Sandbox with their Venly Wallet without even noticing. Impact and Results:

1. Scale the onboarding

Mass adoption and scalability solved by outsourcing wallet services. The Sandbox can now focus on the gameplay and metaverse while Venly is taking care of the wallet side as the blockchain tech provider.

2. Social login for mainstream users

Bringing non crypto users to The Sandbox. Venly brings in the mainstream user base thanks to social logins via a seamless UX and a wallet integration linked to the user's email gathered from their social accounts.

3. Mobile compatible wallets

Mobile adoption or readiness. This has been solved with compatible wallets. Venly Wallets work on mobile, web and desktop which is a perfect fit for projects not just like The Sandbox but also Aavegotchi, where mass adoption will come from mobile players. 

4. Migration to Polygon with Venly's APIs
