‍Friday, 28th October, 2022 - At this year’s Fast 50 Awards Ceremony,  blockchain technology provider, Venly, was awarded the Rising Star Winner after being shortlisted in a group of 10 companies last month. The Rising Star Award is part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 competition and is awarded to companies that have been active in the technology sector for less than four years with notable revenue potential.

While blockchain technology continues to gain widespread recognition across industries, brands, and consumers alike, technical complexities remain a significant barrier with regards to adoption and accessibility.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 competition is an annual selection of the 50 fastest growing and innovative technology companies headquartered and founded in Belgium. Public or private companies that develop a technology-related product or service and have experienced substantial revenue growth over the last four years can enter the competition for their chance to be nominated as one of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Belgium.

Companies that have been active in the technology sector for less than four years can participate in the special Rising Star category of the competition. These companies are judged by an independent jury on their turnover potential and scalability. 

The Rising Star jury is chaired by Duco Sickinghe, Managing Partner of Fortino Capital. The jury includes distinguished members from the business community, such as Ann Van Mele, Venture Acceleration Manager at Imec.istart, and Veroniek Collewaert, Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Vlerick Business School.
